Part of the training involved administering IVs to one another. As you can tell my partner did a pretty good job inserting the IV in my arm, not such a good job blocking blood flow before inserting the plug in the IV...
We had to demonstrate our ability to drive in nighttime conditions with no lights (lights were on but on a very low setting) with night vision goggles (they definitely restricted our field of vision).
This past Saturday we learned how to perform basic maintenance on a hummer, replace a tire, tow another hummer and egress from a flipped over hummer. Today we learned how to drive a hummer through mud and creeks, uphill and downhill. And tonight we will drive hummers in total darkness with night vision goggles on!
